KEITH BALL (son of the Legendary Kenny Ball) Draws "Great Prize Draw" at Basildon Univerity Hospital
A raffle that had been running for six months between Basildon University Hospital and Basildon Hospital Radio finally came to conclusion on Christmas Eve when Keith Ball, son of Legendary Kenny Ball, arrived at the hospital to draw the winning ticket. Unfortunately, Kenny was unwell and was unable to attend. The first ticket drawn, with the lucky winner taking "2 Upper Class Virgin Atlantic return Flights to New York" was Karen Clark. The tickets were donated to Basildon Hospital Radio by presenter, Steve Chapelhows' company The UKNetwork.com. Jacqui James presented the prize on behalf of Steve Chapelhow who was unable to get to the studio. The raffle raised approximately £3,600 to be split between the hospital's "Butterfly Appeal" and Basildon Hospital Radio. Other luck winners received a Christmas Hamper. |
